Howard Rosen, Esq. and Patricia Donlevy-Rosen, Esq. Awarded Founding Membership in Cook Islands Offshore Planning Association

The Cook Islands Offshore Planning Association (CIOPA) announced today that attorneys Howard Rosen and Patricia Donlevy-Rosen have been awarded Founding Member status in recognition of their level of expertise, qualifications, and experience in offshore planning exhibited during their distinguished careers.

“We reserve the title of Founding Member to those professionals recommended by their peers as true experts in the field of offshore planning” said Sam Phillips, who serves as Executive Director of CIOPA.

Howard is a shareholder (partner) of the asset protection law firm Donlevy-Rosen & Rosen, P.A.  Located in Coral Gables, FL, Howard focuses his practice on offshore asset protection planning and related tax matters. Howard is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Patricia is also a shareholder (partner) of the asset protection law firm Donlevy-Rosen & Rosen, P.A.  Patricia focuses her practice on offshore asset protection planning and the protection of real estate. Patricia is admitted in the Florida and New York bars.

The Cook Islands has long been the standard bearer for offshore financial services. Beginning in 1984 with the enactment of the International Trusts Act, the jurisdiction has championed the development of offshore financial services, and especially offshore trusts.

“CIOPA works to educate consumers, professionals, and the media about the ethical uses of offshore planning in the Cook Islands. Membership is available to attorneys, brokers, financial planners, CPAs, and other professionals working with offshore planning with the Cook Islands jurisdiction.”

 While “Founding Member” status is limited to recommended and qualified professionals with Cook Islands experience, various membership options allow for any U.S. professionals seeking to add Cook Islands offshore planning services to their portfolio of client offerings.
